NOTE: You will be required to file a BMC91X (Public
Liability Certificate) from your insurance company with the FMCSA.
A BMC91X does not need to be filed with Kentucky.
After you receive ICC Authority
you will need Single State Registration
(SSRS) from your base state.
ICC Authorized Carriers do not need Exempt Certificates.

Gross
Vehicle Weight Rating
means the value specified by the manufacturer as the loaded weight
of a single motor vehicle.
Per KRS 138.655
subsection (14).
"Combined licensed weight" shall mean the greater of:
(a) The declared combined maximum gross weight of the vehicle
and any towed unit for registration purposes for the current registration
period; or
(b) The highest actual combined gross weight of the vehicle and
any towed unit when operated on the public highways of the state
during the current registration period.
